Nickel is often the reason for skin allergies. HOFFMANN frames made of natural horn are an outstanding alternative for these eyeglass wearers.

For example nickel: as material alloying constituent it makes metal flexible and expandable, but this material is the reason for some skin allergy. One finds it in many eyeglass frames.

The direct skin contact is usually avoided by special plastic encasing lungs and color coatings. Where this frame tuning is not sufficient any longer, alternatives must be found such as natural horn frames for the eyeglass wearer. As at first mentioned natural horn does not provoke allergy on the skin of the eyeglass wearer.
